Zestos comes from 1950s-era Garnacha vines in the high elevation vineyards of San Martin Valdeiglesias. Today San Martin produces some of the most floral and mineral-driven Garnachas in all of Spain. Manually harvested and 90% de-stemmed, then vinified in 10,000 litre stainless steel and cement tanks, the wine then ages in cement for at least 6 months before bottling. Lively red and dark berry aromas... Supple and seamless in texture, offering juicy black raspberry and cherry with a gentle mineral nuance. Finishes fruity and broad, with a touch of white pepper adding lift and cut.
