Weston Eidson created Silver Ghost Cabernet Sauvignon in homage to his great-grandfather, John Montagu, an early player in the British auto industry. John's friendships with Charles Rolls and Henry Royce lead to his favourite car being the 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. The Oakville bottling is, you guessed it, 100% from Oakville, and blends 3% and 2% each of Merlot and Petit Verdot with the dominant Cabernet. The nose features ripe plum, rich black currant, and smooth, warm spices. The palate is a sophisticated blend of juicy red and blue fruits artfully intertwined with subtle flavours of mocha and a variety of deep, fragrant spices. Its luxurious texture extends to a long-lasting, gratifying finish.
