Maxico Mistico's first experiment, this genepy-style liqueur is built on estafiate, the local wormwood used since prehispanic times to heal stomachaches. A happy accident along the way brought in cold brew coffee and epazote to balance the plant's bitterness, then habanero chili crept into the epazote, becoming the recipe's defining touch.
