Blended from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, Pirie is Tasmania's answer to fine non-vintage Champagne. Most of the blend is from the 2019 vintage with some earlier vintages included to add complexity. A small percentage was matured in older French barrels, with two years on lees before disgorging. Pirie was founded by a viticulturist who took a chance on the uncharted sparkling territory of Tasmania. It is Australia’s most awarded non-vintage sparkling wine.
