FRANCONE BARBARESCO DOCG GALLINA 750ML

Crafted from the grapes of Gallina vineyard, the most valuable cru of the Neive area which is on Renato Ratti's Map of Historic Barbaresco cru-vineyards.

Garnet red colour and orange-red shades with ageing. Full-scented, complex but delicate aroma, which is a pleasant blend of violet, red berries and cherry notes with hints of candied orange, tobacco and licorice. Full-bodied, evident but smooth tannins and balanced alcohol make this an extremely fine wine.

Thanks to a South/South-West facing exposure of the slope, the vineyard produces Nebbiolo grapes which can give intensive and extremely fine wines.
Manual harvest, fermentation with traditional maceration of 14 days, 18 months ageing in French oak casks and refinement in bottle.
