Grown in the Valul lui Traian wine region of Moldova, this prestigious ruby red wine was made through the coupage of varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Crafted in the traditional method and aged in oak casks, this wine is part of the National collection of Cricova winery.

Matured in oak barrels, it is remarkable for its delicate bouquet with a distinguished blackberry now. On the palate Codru displays notes of black cherries, blueberries, pomegranate, red fruits. It is a well structured and tannin rich wine. Th finish is long, with nuances of velvety cherrystone. It sill benefit from cellaring and aging.

Perfectly suited to pair with beef, lamb, goose, smoked meat and sausages.
