Vintage 2016 being the single best vintage for Barbaresco of all time, sourced from the best cru sites in Neive and produced by a family that has been making wine for over 350 years.

Intense ruby red color with orange highlights from ageing. Fresh bouquet with hints of rose, violet, small undergrowth fruits and spicy hints of pepper and vanilla. Elegant and austere flavor, pleasantly tannic persistence. Silky with a long finish of raspberry and current jam.

A powerful and structured wine from one of the best cru sites in Neive. "Cru" Basarin is located at 350 meters above sea level with south exposure. The vineyard is planted in soil of Miocene-Helvetian origin, white, calcareous - marly with sandy veins.

Hand harvested, traditional maceration with a floating cap for a minimum of 18-20 days, matured 50 months between Slavonian oak barrels and bottles.
